1. What does DVD stand
for?DVD stands for
Digital Versatile/Video Disc. |
|
|
2. Why am I getting such
high failure rates on my duplications?High failure rates are usually due to condition of
your master disc. We highly recommend that you remake the master disc.
Remaking the master disc will reduce the failure rate considerably. Other
recommendations includes: • The higher quality blank
CD-R or DVD-R media you use will generally provide better results. • If
the duplication fails, try another master CD/DVD and or new blank CD-R and
DVD-R. • A scratched Master CD or DVD, or a Mater CD/DVD with obvious
physical damage may not duplicate. • Keep the duplicator in a clean
environment. • The fan on the rear of the duplicator should be kept
clean and allowed reasonable room for air flow.

|
|
7. Can I duplicate store
bought or rented DVDs?No,
there are two reasons why you cannot do so. First, the store bought or
rented DVDs are dual layer disc, meaning the capacity of these disc are
twice as large as the capacity of the regular DVD-R or DVD-RW, and thus
will not fit. Second, the store bought or rented DVDs will likely contain
copyrighted material and have appropriate security measures. |

11. How come my duplicator
always fails to copy on the same burner every time and this is my first
time using the machine? The machine sometime may come with optional USB or
Firewire connection. When you first setup your machine you might want to
check following steps. First turn off your machine and go to the back of
your machine. Second check if the machine comes with USB or Firewire
connection port near the power supply or fan. Third make sure you switch
the USB port switch to OFF position and turn the machine back ON again.
Forth try to run a copy one more time. |
|
|
12. I just receive my
machine today and using the machine for the first time and it seems like
the machine doesn't burn really well. It always randomly fails some burner
during the duplication. Can you tell me why and what I do
wrong.It seems like the
machine doesn't have proper voltage. Here is what you do to correct this
problem. Go to the back of duplicator unit and check if there is a power
voltage switch on the power supply and make sure it is set to 115V instead
of 230V because some of our machine sold to European countries, so it may
have different voltage setting. One other reason may cause the unit fail
the drive randomly is because the CD/DVD media disk you using is not
compatible with burners that we built in the machine. If this happen,
please prepare couple different brands of media for testing. |
|
|
13. I bought my duplicator
with USB option, but when I use it with my Mac OS computer I couldn't burn
anything from my computer to the external duplicator burner when using the
software come with Mac OS. Do you know why?The software comes with Mac OS system is only
capable for detecting the certify Mac burner. If you are using other
burners other than the Mac system certify, then you may need to use third
party software, such as Roxio Toast for Mac OS. |
|
|
14. My master will play,
read, but why won't it copy? Please make sure the master is free of damage or
blemishes and is produced on a high quality media brand. The master disc
plays back successfully because the player only spins at 1X. During the
burn process the reader has to spin the disc at a much higher rate in
order to match the duplicating speed. At high speeds the quality of the
disc is magnified, making it essential to have a high quality
master. |
|
|
15. Does a DVD duplicator
take both + & - R media?Yes, our DVD duplicator will take both + & - R
media. |
|
|
16. Can my duplicator copy
CD+G disc?Usually regular
CD/DVD duplicators are not certifying for CD+G duplication. So please
specify you want a CD+G capable machine at the time of
purchase. |
|
|
17. I tried to copy a
master disc that is made from my home theater DVD recorder, but after I
finalize the disk and try to make copy from your duplicator system, the
copied disk doesn't playback on the regular DVD player? Please make sure you set the recording mode
to SP instead of LP, HQ or EP when you do the recording. Different DVD
recorder manufactures have different ways to compress the data in
different recording mode, so please use only the SP mode, which is
standardize format all over the world for 2 hour recording time in 4.7GB
DVD blank media. |
|
|
18. I bought a 4X speed DVD
duplicator tower from you about 2 years ago. But DVDs are now at 8X and
soon will be 18X...does my duplicating tower need software upgrading and
if so, where do I get it?Usually our duplicator tower doesn't need any
software update, so whatever the disk you use the writer will just set to
the maximum speed they can write. |
|
|
19. I purchase some DVD+R
blank media from my supplier, but when I using the Test function in your
duplicator tower it always show "Can't Not Test DVD+R" or fail during the
copy. What did I do wrong? Most DVD+R media in the market doesn't support Test
function when using the burner in the computer or duplicator. Please use
DVD-R media if you rather do Test before Copy. |
|
|
20. Can I duplicate an
original DVD disc that is bought from retail store or rented from local
video store?Most of DVD
discs you bought from store are copyrighted and come with CSS protection.
Also many of them are single side dual layer, which contains more than
4.7GB of data, so it will not fit into regular single layer 4.7GB DVD +/-
R blank media. A lot of pirate copies on the market are made from a master
that has been decrypted. |
|
|
21. My duplicator system
just arrived today, but I found one of the drive doesn't burn at all. It
doesn't eject after copy & the disk still blank after copy process.

connection is turn to OFF position. Restart the power after you change
setting. |
|
|

duplicator system from you, but when I use 18X blank media it can only
burn up to 8X. I already set the burn speed to Max, but how come it
doesn't work?Usually the
maximum burning speed is determined by the DVD-RW drive you purchase.
Different brand name burners have different compatibility between
different brand name blank media. So please check the specification &
compatibility list with the drive
manufacture. |
